Day one - we made it to Sweden

We'll hi from Sweden, Stockholm to be exact.  Our flight landed in Stockholm about 30 minutes early. Congrats to United Airlines for not screwing it up this time.  With suitcases in hand we boarded the high speed train called the Arlanda Express which took us on a twenty minute ride into the central city of Stockholm where our hotel awaited us, about fifty steps from the train station.  As we were checking into our room, Lynn's cousins the Herrold's and the Serfass's came into the lobby from breakfast. Our room, believe it or not, was ready and it was only 9:00am. We put our stuff in the room and off we went with the cousins to explore the old section of Stockholm. Following a rip roaring taxi ride, we explored the national cathedral where St. George (of dragon fame) is buried, we explored the  Noble Prize Museum (which was a lot cooler than we thought it would be), and watched the changing of the guard at the Swedish Royal Palace, where we heard the band of the Royal Army performe. They were very cool. Following a flight overnight, and a morning of some intense sightseeing, and after lunch at a quaint bistro we decided to walk back to our hotel to take a power nap. On the way we did a little shopping, took a little detour to visit the Stockholm city hall. All in all it was an awesome morning and early afternoon, and it got even more incredible when we took a power nap to try to catch up on some rest-yeah!!!  After a very nice dinner, the Herrold's took us to an ice bar in our hotel..it was very cool (no pun intended) along with a parka and gloves we had a cool cocktail followed by the dreaded march to the hotel room for a good? nights sleep. Tomorrow we truly begin the journey we came here to do. Talk with you soon.
